Taylor Swift’s tough critic, Scooter Braun, jumped to her defense against former U.S. president Donald Trump.
The 43-year-old former music manager, who was previously at outs with the Anti-hero hitmaker after he bought the rights to her master recordings, didn’t hesitate to speak up for Swift.
In a public declaration, Trump confessed his feelings for the Shake It Off singer over the weekend after she extended her support to his rival Kamala Harris in the November presidential election.
The 78-year-old politician took to his social media platform Truth Social on Sunday, September 15, in response to the songstress’ heartfelt Instagram post.
He sent out an all-capitalised message that read, “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT”
Braun rushed to the 34-year-old’s rescue, calling out Trump for his hate speech and encouraging his fellow Americans to vote for his rival.
He wrote, “Shake it off Donald. (sic)”
Swift had previously urged her 284M followers to vote for the ‘best candidate,’ driving more than 400,000 visitors to the vote.gov in under a day.
She wrote at the time, “I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and (her vice president nominee) Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election.
“If you haven’t already, now is a great time to do your research on the issues at hand and the stances these candidates take on the topics that matter to you the most… as a voter, I make sure to watch and read everything I can about their proposed policies and plans for this country.”
