A passenger coaster overturned in Chitral’s Lowari Tunnel area due to heavy rain and snowfall. Fortunately, all passengers were unharmed in the incident, Express News reported.
According to reports, rain and snow resumed late last night, causing a light layer of snow to settle in Chitral city and surrounding areas. Despite the snowfall in the Lowari Tunnel, traffic remained operational.
However, the Lowari Tunnel Police have imposed a restriction on vehicles without snow chains, prohibiting them from crossing the tunnel in such weather conditions.
On the other hand, mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country during the next 12 hours.
However, rain-wind and thunderstorm snowfall over the mountains is expected at isolated places in Kashmir, north-east Punjab, Gilgit-Baltistan and Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Light to moderate fog in patches is also expected in northeastern Punjab during morning hours.

According to weather forecast for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, cloudy weather with chances of rain and snow is expected in Srinagar, Jammu, Leh, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian and Baramula.
