Mandy Moore after Pacific Palisades
Mandy Moore has provided an emotional update after evacuating her Pasadena home with her family due to the devastating Pacific Palisades wildfires.
The ‘This Is Us’ star, 40, shared on Instagram that she, her husband Taylor Goldsmith, 39, and their three children—August, 3, Oscar, 23 months, and newborn Louise Everett—are safe and staying with friends.
“Evacuated and safe with kids, dog and cats. Praying and grateful for the first responders,” Mandy Moore wrote on her Instagram Stories, alongside a photo of her youngest son, Oscar. The family’s Pasadena home remains under threat as the rapidly spreading Eaton fire forces evacuations in nearby areas.
The Pacific Palisades wildfires have caused widespread devastation across Los Angeles, with dry and windy conditions making containment efforts nearly impossible. A second fire in Altadena has prompted additional evacuations, with residents facing gridlocked traffic. Some, including ‘Schitt’s Creek’ star Eugene Levy, were forced to abandon their vehicles, while fire crews bulldozed rows of cars to access affected areas.
Los Angeles City Council President Marqueece Harris-Dawson declared a state of emergency Tuesday evening, warning that worsening winds could exacerbate the situation. The fires have already displaced approximately 30,000 people and threaten over 10,000 homes, including properties owned by Ben Affleck, Tom Hanks, and Miles Teller.
Reality TV stars Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag confirmed losing their home, while celebrities like Chris Pratt and Maria Shriver have urged prayers and support for first responders.
