Lil Durk murder

Lil Durk murder for-hire trial has been postponed to October 14, moving from its original January 7 date.

Court documents revealed that the delay was agreed upon by both the rapper’s defense team and prosecutors due to the complexity of the case.

It involves around 230 GB of digital evidence, including audio, video, and surveillance footage, as well as 20,000 pages of reports, witness statements, and medical documents.

The filing stated that the case is unusually complex, making it unreasonable to prepare adequately within the time limits set by the Speedy Trial Act.

It also pointed out conflicting schedules among defense attorneys, who have other commitments throughout the year.

Co-defendant Asa “Boogie” Houston objected to the delay, while Deandre Dontrell Wilson requested a pre-plea sentence report.

Durk, arrested in Florida last October, faces charges related to a 2022 shooting in Los Angeles that killed Lul Pab.
