Kesha reignited tensions with Katy Perry by silently backing a shady post from Wendy’s, following the fast-food chain’s jab at Perry on the day of her spaceflight.
Perry, who recently collaborated with controversial music producer Dr. Luke on her upcoming album Lifetimes, received online backlash after fans recalled Kesha’s long-standing abuse allegations against him—claims Dr. Luke has consistently denied. Despite once voicing support for Kesha during the legal battle, Perry defended the decision, stating, “He was one of many collaborators… but the reality is, it comes from me.”
On April 14, Perry joined an all-female Blue Origin spaceflight, a historic move that made headlines. Later that day, Wendy’s Twitter account posted cryptic tweets widely interpreted as jabs at Perry, one of which read, “We don’t serve Lifetimes around here.”
Kesha didn’t comment directly, but her history with Dr. Luke—whom she accused of abuse, allegations he denies—adds context to her reaction. That same evening, she shared a photo of herself smiling while sipping from a Wendy’s cup on X (formerly Twitter)
Her subtle post quickly went viral, with fans praising the singer for her quiet but pointed stance. Perry has not publicly addressed the tweet or the renewed criticism surrounding her work with Dr. Luke.
