Justin Baldoni texts

Private text messages allegedly reveal actor Justin Baldoni orchestrated a plan to smear his It Ends With Us co-star Blake Lively’s reputation. The texts, published by The New York Times and submitted as evidence in Lively’s sexual harassment lawsuit, detail a coordinated strategy to tarnish her image through untraceable methods.

In May 2024, months after filming ended, Baldoni reportedly expressed concern over being blocked on Instagram by Lively’s husband, Ryan Reynolds. In text messages to Jennifer Abel, the PR head of his studio Wayfarer, Baldoni suggested preparing a contingency plan should Lively take similar actions. “Plans make me feel more at ease,” he allegedly wrote, prompting Abel to involve crisis management expert Melissa Nathan.

Nathan reportedly proposed strategies that included hiring contractors to conduct “social account take downs” and starting “threads of theories” online to discredit Lively. In one message, Nathan allegedly said, “You know we can bury anyone,” emphasizing that the actions would remain untraceable. These plans aimed to undermine Lively’s reputation amid tensions following the film’s release.

The texts form a critical part of Blake Lively’s lawsuit, which also accuses Baldoni of creating a hostile work environment. The suit highlights allegations of inappropriate comments and behavior on set, including remarks about Lively’s weight and her deceased father.

These revelations have intensified public debate on Hollywood’s handling of workplace disputes and reputational attacks. As Baldoni’s career faces growing scrutiny, and with Lively seeking accountability, the case highlights the urgent need for transparency and ethical practices in the entertainment industry.
